Live Blood Examination
A drop of live blood from a finger is illuminated on a slide with a dark-field microscope. This process makes the various components of the blood phosphorescent against a dark background, outlining the particles and formations within the cell. This allows the living components to be viewed via live video. Standard testing does not use live blood, and therefore is limited.
By observing the living red cells, we can tell a lot about the current state of metabolism in general, and of the digestive system in particular. Observing the white blood cells gives us a reading on the state of the immune system, while the pattern of microbes tells us if disease is overwhelming the body's defenses. This also helps us test for blood resiliency and other critical factors.
